Eugene Transportation System Plan web site

At the recent Envision Eugene public forum held at North Eugene High School in April their was much talk of transportation planning.

Sr. Transportation Planner, Kurt Yeiter, wants to remind us of the excellent web site http://www.eugenetsp.org/.

"Eugene's updated transportation system plan and new Ped-Bike Master Plan; Springfield's, Coburg's, and LTD's long range transit plans; and the Central Lane regional plans that most directly affect federal funding for this area are all described there."

What's Your Story?

Solutions to Our Recent Quiz!

At the May 5, 2011, SCCO general meeting we formally introduced SCRROL and presented folks with a 20-question quiz on neigborhood stats, community services, schools and natural resources in River Road/Santa Clara. The entire quiz—with answers—can be downloaded here.

Many of the questions were also found on the "Wheel of Wisdom," a fun game we played at the Awbrey Park Celebration help May 7. You may see that wheel again soon. If you do, be sure to give it a spin and win a cool prize.

Event: Awbrey Park Celebration

Join us in Santa Clara's Awbrey Park on Saturday, May 7, 2011, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm to celebrate a neighborhood "Gem" and its hearty volunteers. SCRROL will have a booth. Join us and tell us about yourself and your community aspirations.

SNAP goes the SCRROL

The Strategic Neighborhood Assessment & Planning (SNAP) project feeds directly into the Santa Clara / River Road Outreach and Learning (SCRROL) mission by allowing us to use outside resources such as the fine folks at Eugene Neighborhood Services to helps us gather momentum.

The attached document is the working agreement entered into by the neighborhoods and the City of Eugene. This SNAP is one of several that Neighborhood Services is juggling and we're glad to be able to join forces with them to start moving forward.

Before SCRROL, there was JuST…a little history

The RIVER ROAD-SANTA CLARA JOINT STRATEGY TEAM (JuST) was formed in 2010 as a precursor to SCRROL to explore urbanization strategies and assist in taking advantage of joint neighborhood funds remaining from the transistion project/sewer funding initiatives, from 'way back when.
